All aluminum components. Post is constructed of heavy duty extruded aluminum measuring 6" x 6" at base, tapering up to a 4" x 4" square cast post. Mailbox is cast aluminum and bolted to the post from the back of the mailbox creating a solid and firm mailbox/post combo.
